Description

More than just a green space, Fort Canning Park offers well-kept secrets and mysteries at night! This historical landmark was where Malay royalty once ruled, where the British hoisted up the Union Jack and where the British surrendered to the Japanese during World War II.
Follow Bernard in this live-streamed, interactive night tour as he shares strange (sometimes creepy) tales of the Forbidden Hill, which is believed to be the resting place of the Kings of ancient Singapore. We will visit the Keramat, or shrine of Iskandar Shah, the last King of Singapore, and enter the old Christian cemetery in search of some important names who were buried here in the 1800s.
We will take a walk around the Park where the old Malay Palace used to stand while the quietness of the night is disturbed by the sounds of the crickets amongst the tall heritage trees. We will ascend the steps before reaching the peak of the hill where the residence of Sir Stamford Rafflesused to be, but he did not have the opportunity to stay. Why?
Get ready for this exciting virtual night tour which we cannot promise what surprises are hidden as we walk around the hill. Join me to experience the mysterious side of Singapore!
