Description

This tour will start with an introduction to a brief history of the Steelpan. We will cover the techniques on how to play as well as learn the basics of the musical alphabet. You can download a steelpan app on your phone and learn to play a basic song along with me. This is going to be an interactive activity and I will be happy to answer any questions that you have.

Originating from Trinidad and Tobago, the Steelpan consists of pans made out of steel drum containers. It is struck with a pair of sticks having rubber tips. Popular in Caribbean communities, the pan is the national instrument of Trinidad and Tobago
