On this live-streamed interactive experience, we will focus on a unique wine variety named Carmenere and the secret behind its fame; we will learn about how this wine disappeared from France in the 1800s, and made an equally dramatic appearance a century later in Chile.

I am a senior tour guide and a professor at the School of Tourism. I moved from Patagonia to Santiago de Chile in 2004 and have been living here ever since. In my experience, I have had the opportunity to travel around Chile, from north to south seeing the coastline and the mountains. I have been to several wineries and guided groups through the most important vineyards of the country. I have learnt a lot about the culinary traditions of Chile. I am passionate about cooking and pairing different types of Chilean wine with the traditional national cuisine. I would like to share the secrets of local Chilean cuisine with you.
