Description

This virtual tour takes us back thousands of years ago, to the days of Abraham. We will explore events in the bible and other scriptures that led a man to leave his home, walk through the desert and make a covenant with God to inherit the holy land, and then become the father of monotheism, the father of Judaism, Christianity and Islam – Abraham.

Our subjects for this tour are the Mesopotamia region, the Covenant of the Pieces, borders of the promised land, the secret meaning of the Binding of Isaac, and its connection to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict today. We will learn about one of the holiest places in the world for the monotheistic religions – Temple mount or El-Aksa, the story of Exodus, and finally the importance of the 10 commandments on our societies today.

I am a tour guide in Israel and I know the country very well from my experience in Adventure Education program. I am a co-founder of a non-profit organization that works for youth at risk in the country. I guide in Hebrew and English (Native-speaker level). I specialize in: History (Biblical, Roman, Crusader, Ottoman Periods). Religion- especially the early Jewish-Christian period. I'm interested in the common ground between Judaism and Christianity. Culture- The Arab Culture of Israel along with the language, phrases, gestures, beliefs, and traditions.
