Description
Visit Granada and explore with us the streets and monuments of this wonderful city, whilst learning the most interesting aspects of Granada’s rich history. We will begin our virtual exploration from the historical city centre and admire Granada's Cathedral and Royal Chapel. Then, we will walk through the gate of the Rambla to the square and head on to Carmine square and continue our stroll to the City Hall.
Next, we will visit La Madraza, the first university in Granada, inaugurated in 1349 by the Nasrid King Yusuf I. Then, we will walk along the famous Cobblestone handmade road, discovering new secrets about the Moorish heritage of Granada. Also, we will visit the former Cold Store, its intricate history as a Monastery and now as offices. Our next stop is Alcaiceria, the ancient Arab silk market of Granada, heading to King Ferdinand's final resting place and his queen, Isabella. And explore the Old Madrassa and the intricate architecture inspired by the Islamic styles.
On the final leg of the tour, marvel at the statues of Queen Isabella and Christopher Columbus, recording one of the biggest moments of modern history. Then, we will head to the oldest square of Granada, Plaza Nueva. And, we will say our final goodbyes at Carrera del Darro, also known as "Paseo de los Tristes", one of the most touristic streets in the city.

Meet your Host
Cicerone Granada
My name is Maria A Valdecasas. I am the CEO of Cicerone and I help travel organisers, and incentive companies organise their activities, visits and events in Granada and the Alhambra.
I am Estefanía Rodríguez, a tour guide and heritage Interpreter. I started working as a guide for Cicerone in June 2012 for one season. In 2013, I moved to London to work and improve my English, staying there until March 2014, when I came back to work for Cicerone, until now. Like everyone else who works here, I love Granada, to show it and walk in it. And dealing with people who are seeing it for the first time is wonderful. It is hard to single out just one place in Granada, but I think no one can forget the views from the vantage points on the Verea de Enmedio del Sacromonte because, in my opinion, these are the best panoramas of the city.
