The tour begins after meeting the tour guide at around 09:00 am. First, you will visit the ancient city of Shamakhi, which served as the capital city of the Shirvan Kingdom. It is one of the most beautiful cities in the Middle East. One of the main attractions in the city is Gulistan Castle - the last bastion of rulers from the Shirvanshah dynasty built to defend the borders of the city. The Seven Domes Mausoleum Complex with numerous burials of the rulers of Shemakha and the Friday Mosque of Juma are some of the other places of interest that you will see. Today, Shamakhi is also known for its winemaking, carpet weaving, and crafts.
The next stop on this tour will be at the Lahich village, located in the Ismayilli region of Azerbaijan. It is a unique example of urban planning and architectural art of antiquity. It has been one of the most popular trade centres in the Middle East since the Middle Ages. Home to the skilled craftsmen and woodcarvers, you will find crafts made of metal and leather. The manufacturing of edged weapons and copper utensils adorned with decorated ornaments brought fame to the Lagians. To this day, there are about a dozen workshops open, where hereditary blacksmiths make various utensils in front of amazed tourists.
