In this virtual session, uncover the secrets of Japanese Whiskey and get tips to enjoy it to the best from the knowledge I gained at the world-famous Yamazaki Distillery and from whiskey bars in Kyoto. You will be amazed by how dedicated and complex Japanese whiskey culture is. Of course, you can just enjoy drinking whiskey but if you know its background, you will appreciate it all the more!
I will start with the basic knowledge of whiskey and its process, and then, focus on the unique point of Japanese whiskey. I’ve prepared several quizzes about whiskey, so you can check your whiskey knowledge! Start the drinking session by taking in the aroma of whiskey (nosing). Then, at “word” express your whiskey’s taste and smell and learn about each others' whiskey. I will teach you how to enjoy Highball - whiskey with soda.

I'm a Japanese tour guide with over 10 years of experience in the tourism industry. I've guided more than 3000 guests. I'm a whiskey lover who organizes 'Japanese Whiskey tasting Experiences' in Kyoto. I’ve been working as an Mt Fuji guide since 2004 and have climbed Mt Fuji more than 100 times. While nobody can climb Mt Fuji this summer, I feel honoured to help people enjoy the marvellous view of Mt Fuji via tourHQ's Online Experiences.
