This online campus tour will introduce you to both the campus and the city, as the two are connected by a strong history since the school was founded in 1885.
Academically, Georgia Tech is recognized in the U.S. as one of the top 10 schools for Engineering and Computing. Other renowned programs include business, design, science, and liberal arts. The student body, as well as the city of Atlanta, is racially and culturally diverse, with a warm campus atmosphere, school traditions, sports offerings, and over 400 student organizations.
Atlanta is the largest city in the Southeastern United States as well as the economic and entertainment center of the region. Employment and networking opportunities are abundant here, with over 75% of America's Top 1000 companies having a presence in the area. I was born and raised in Georgia and enjoy sharing her warm Southern hospitality with visitors and locals alike. Being a tour guide is a way for me to combine my love of history with quirky and unexpected “hidden stories” that you might not find on your own.
As the parent of a college freshman, I also understand the importance of finding a school that fits both the academic goals and the personality of each student.
