Description

Journey through 100 years of Hong Kong's architectural history, from old to contemporary, from western to Chinese, on this live-streamed online experience of the Central district.

Hop on the Central-Mid-Levels Escalators with me, the world's longest elevated covered walkway that connects Queens Road Central to many roads and localities in the Mid-levels. We will get off at various points to visit some of the popular attractions like the Man Mo Temple, which serves as a place of worship and community gatherings and the Colonial Compound of Law and Order. We will walk through the wet market at Graham Street Market, the oldest surviving open-air market on Hong Kong Island. From there, stroll into Hollywood Road, the first road built on Hong Kong island. Take a detour to Aberdeen Street to see the PMQ and Central Market, a 1950's modernist' manifestation of "form follows function" and a fantastic place to end the tour.

Audrey was our guide for the tour of Hong Kong's Central District (and more) which was a surprise I had arranged for my Husband's birthday. Pre pandemic he travelled to Hong Kong regularly for business and loves the city so I knew this would be a great surprise for him.

Having never done anything like this before I wasn't sure how good it would be, if the signal would hold, if we really would feel like we were walking the streets of HK but I had absolutely no cause for concern. The tour, Audrey's interaction with us, the quality overall and the entire organisation of this was exceptional !!

My Husband said it was the best gift I could have bought for him under the current travel ban so we were both delighted. A HUGE thank you to Audrey and to the team at Tour HQ who arranged this for me, often communicating over what's app to ensure clarity of the booking and for keeping me updated of every stage. Fantastic service I would recommend to all my friends and colleagues.

    Thank you
