Description

We will kickstart this Online Experience with panoramic views from Huajasapata Hill, a famous viewpoint in Puno. Appreciate the view of the first Inca Manco Capac sculpture along with Lake Titicaca's breathtaking blues and Puno's city. Then we shall go down the streets to see two 600-year-old houses that remain standing to date as a testament to the strength of civilisation. Right next to them stands the baroque-style cathedral in Puno, with its unique architectural details and rock engravings that are influenced by a mix of local and foreign cultures. Continue walking to the Main Square, which has a very beautiful pool in the centre and decorations that give insights into the local culture of Puno.

We will now walk along the JR Lima, the city's main street and go up to the second square where the San Juan Temple is located. Here, you will see the Virgin of Candelaria - the city's patron saint. It is out of devotion for her that the largest celebration in Peru is held here annually in February, where thousands of people take to the streets to celebrate. We will continue walking along Independence Street towards the Deustua Arch to reach the end of this tour.
