Description
This online experience will be a carefully concocted cocktail, of which the key ingredients are history, heritage, and Jewish customs and traditions. The tour will touch upon the surface of the complex history of the Holocaust and end in the present reality of Kazimierz (Jewish quarter).
We will begin this experience from the so-called "Large Street"; it resides in the heart of the Cracovian Jewish Quarter - Kazimierz. The richest Jews inhabited this place till 1800, after which many of them left the Jewish quarter and moved to the centre of Cracow. Walking around here, we will get lost in its various courtyards, narrow streets and synagogues, of which only seven remain today in Cracow. You will experience the bohemian atmosphere of the area.
Learn about kosher food and its preparation at the former Jewish Market, and then head towards the yard featured in the movie "Schindler's List". We will conclude this experience at the newest synagogue in town, located in the area called Tempel.
