Description

This live streamed Online Experience starts at an elevation of more than 12,500 feet in the waters of the highest navigable lake in the world, Lake Titicaca. We will navigate our boat between channels used by the locals, while talking about the importance of the lake in the development of pre-Inca cultures and groups. The Incas are, after all, a big part of the history of the inhabitants of Uros.

We will arrive at the floating islands of Uros and enter one of these islands. Here you will observe the multiple ways the natives use totora, the indigenous reed that grows all over the lake area. You will learn about their local attire and take a deeper look at their daily activities on the island, maintaining their traditional lifestyle to the best extent possible.
