Description
We will begin this online experience from the Market Square, starting with an introduction to the history of the city from the 10th century till the present day. Heading towards the city centre, we will see the Belfry Tower, the oldest monument in the area, and continue walking till we reach Simon Steven Square, where we will learn about Belgian chocolates and why are they so popular.
We will then make our way to 'The Church of Our Lady', which is the tallest monument in town. Next to it is the Gruuthuse Museum, whose facade we will appreciate while regaling you with some interesting facts about how the wealthiest family of the city used to live. Next, we will make a pit stop at the Bourgogne de Flandes (a brewery where, of course, we will talk about the famous Belgian beer). We will also visit the Rozenhoedkaai, which takes the cake for the most photographed attraction of the city. Throughout the tour, we will keep you entertained through stories, anecdotes and legends from the past. Our final stop on this virtual tour will be the Burg Square and Fish Market.
