Description

This virtual walking tour in the downtown of Bariloche will allow you to get to know the most beautiful and most visited tourist destination in Argentina. The town lies between the high Andean peaks and the Patagonian desert, surrounded by thick beech and Cyprus forests, glacial lakes, rivers and mountains, that make for outstanding scenery.

Stroll through the main commercial street Mitre, and you will learn why chocolate is a symbol of the city as you see the many artisanal chocolate stores taking up the real estate here. We will then go to the main square - Centro Civico, with its buildings made in alpine style adapted from Central Europe. Listen to the anecdotes about the interesting history of this town, such as the story about the man on the monument in the heart of the square, as you see our tower and municipal offices. By the way, the tower too has a secret window that opens twice a day, and 4 personalities appear, each one showcasing a reference the region's history.
I will tell about Nahuel Huapi, the first National Park in Argentina that surrounds Bariloche, as we walk down the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi, and you will understand why thousands of tourists visit here all year. We will end our tour at this scenic spot.

Meet your Host
Monika Tuzlak

I am basically from Poland, where I have grown up. After studying the Croatian language, I started to work as a tour leader and a guide in different destinations such as Greece, Spain, Croatia, and Andorra.

I came to Argentina in 2014 because I fell in love with one Argentinian (who is my husband now) and Bariloche, a beautiful town in the Andes, surrounded by lakes, rivers and fascinating landscape.

I am an open-minded, optimistic and friendly person. I love to travel and meet people from different parts of the world, learn more about the culture, traditions, and cuisine, and exchange experiences.
