Description

Edinburgh is beautiful all year around, but is even more magical around Christmas. Explore Edinburgh's New Town on this walking tour, and soak in the holiday festivities around you. We will start from St. Andrew's square and walk down the street admiring the beautiful Georgian buildings at George st. You will see the Dome with its Corinthian columns decorated for the season and the statue of King George IV wearing a kilt. Then, visit the Santa Grotto, where children come and meet the Santa. As we walk through the Princes Street Garden, see the giant Ferris wheel, Star flyer, and the beautiful International Market set up for the season.

Before guiding, he was a travel agent and had been planning tours for about 25 years. Mike is a keen enthusiast of Scottish History and Culture. He enjoys telling stories of William Wallace, Robert the Bruce, Mary Queen of Scots and other historical characters.


Joe Clifford is also a Blue Badge Qualified guide and a member of the Scottish Tourist Guide Association. He has been accredited and working as a self-employed tourist guide for 11 years. Joe works throughout Scotland and regularly perform city tours of Edinburgh. And before this, he has worked for three years with Historic Environment Scotland at their magnificent Stirling Castle as a guide.
