This Online Experience will be live-streamed from the Amazon river, where we will take a boat to explore parts of the river and learn about the culture of the people who have been living in the rainforest for centuries.

We will visit a floating village of the kind commonly seen in this area, and make a stop at a Pirarucu fish farm. These fish are among the largest freshwater fish and are native to the basin of the Amazon River. We will then navigate through flooded forests and reach the 'Meeting of Waters' in Manaus. This is the confluence between the dark or black waters of Rio Negro and the pale sandy-coloured whitewater of the Amazon River, also referred to as the Solimoes River in Brazil. The interesting part is that the rivers meet, but the water of the two doesn't mix and goes on separate ways for quite a while, creating an amazing, yet bizarre sight! Together, we will explore many more fascinating facts about these Amazonian rivers.

I was born and raised in the Amazon and now live away from Manaus in a small village by the Amazon river. I have deep knowledge about the lifestyle, history and culture of the people who are living here for centuries. Combining this and over 15 years of experience in guiding clients from all over the globe, I can show you the best spots and provide you with experiences only a local guide can know.

The coach is knowledgeable, connection was also overall ok given that he was at sea. Too much time was spent seeing him travelling on the boat to the destination, maybe can start the tour when he is nearer to destination. Also, I was expecting to see more of the houses and their families living on waters but disappointed that it was very little. Also I had hoped to see the inside of such a house, interviews by the guide with the families but didn’t happen.
