Philadelphia, the birthplace of the United States and modern democracy, is rich in American History. You can walk upon the same building and streets as the famous figures of Alexander Hamilton, George Washington and renowned Philadelphian Ben Franklin. But those same historic paths walked by the founding fathers are steeped in bloody and tragic tales of Philadelphia’s haunted past.
Join this live-streamed ghost tour and hear the gruesome stories of boiled bodies, body thieves, plague victims and the ones who were buried alive. A city is brimming with enough harrowing horrors to inspire Edgar Allen Poe! As I stroll to the next destination, I will pepper the tour with morbid facts and macabre morsels, such as how Philadelphia was credited with the capture, trial and public execution of America’s first serial killer, H. H. Holmes. Philly's history is haunted by the tortured souls of a British Soldier, murderous maids, and calamitous burnt weddings.
The places of interest that will be covered in this experience include Washington Square, Independence Hall, Bishop White House, City Tavern and Christ Church. As the spirits move, I will add a sight or two to appease the curiosity of the beyond.
