Join me on this live-streamed, interactive Online Experience as we take a virtual walk in the village of Ribčev laz, next to the northeast Bohinj lakeshore. I assure you you will have a great time, soaked in the fascinating views and captivated by the area's interesting local legends and stories.
There are ten Roman Catholic churches in Bohinj, most of them small ones. We will begin with a visit to the most famous one up close, and here I will share an intriguing story about this church with you. We will then move on to see the statue of four brave men and find out why they have been given such a memorial.
Bohinj hides plenty of other fascinating facts: can you guess which British Royal Family members got engaged here, and which revered crime-writer spent her vacations next to the beautiful Bohinj lake hoping to avoid the curious journalists? I will reveal all this and much more to you as we make our way around the village. Of course, this tour will not be complete without learning how this gorgeous place got its name and who symbolises nature in Bohinj.

I am a mother of five and a grandmother of two cute granddaughters. Since 2016, I have been a licensed local tourist guide (regional license for the Julian Alps region) in Bohinj Valley and the surrounding area. Before that, for many years, I was a museum caretaker/guide. I have lived in Bohinj all my life and love its pure nature and good people. Although it looks like nature is all that we have got, it is not true. There are lots of beautiful sights to show, and many stories to share.
