Through, this online platform I bring to you one of the most popular and flavoursome Goan dishes, the Goan Prawn Curry. While we cook together, I will also take you through the culinary journey of Goa and how the past has shaped Goan Cuisine to its epitome. Know before you go

INGREDIENT LIST

  • 3/4 cup (200 gr) prawns, cleaned and deveined
  • 1 3/4 cup (400 ml) coconut milk
  • 4 dry red chilies
  • 6 black peppercorns 
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 
  • 1 tablespoon tamarind pulp
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 3tablespoonsoil
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 1 1/3 cup (300 ml) water
  • Salt to taste


EQUIPMENT LIST

  • Bowl with prawns
  • Mixer grinder to grind the masala
  • Deep bottom pan to cook the curry
  • One Wooden spatula and 1 Rubber spatula
  • Gas Stove or induction for cooking
  • A couple of spoons (2 Tbsp and 6 tsp)
  • Jug with 1 Ltr room temp water
  • 1 plate, 1 bowl, chopping board n knife. This will be stand by.

I have worked as a Customs officer for several years before I voluntarily retired to convert my passion for cooking into a full-time profession. I have been extending culinary experiences to travelers from across the globe for the last ten years. Curries, Masalas, Chutneys, and several Goan dishes are part of my cooking classes. I have learned cooking skills from my family and have attended several cooking courses. I look forward to you joining me in my online culinary journey and enjoy the aromas and flavors of Goan Cuisine.
