On this Online Experience, you will learn about some of Vincent Van Gogh's most important works and the stories that belie each of them.
My virtual presentation will take you over Van Gogh's vast oeuvre, from the brown-dark period of working in the Netherlands to the light and colourful paintings from the time he spent in Paris. We will discuss some of his most beautiful works, such as 'The Sunflowers,' which he painted in Arles in the South of France; the 'Almond Blossoms' made at the institute in Saint Remy; and the impressive ‘Wheatfields with Crows‘ from Auvers Sur Oise, where he eventually died.
As we talk, I will also share with you several anecdotes, hidden gems, and background stories about Van Gogh, his life and his work. We will also touch upon the Japanese influence that can be seen in many of his paintings.
