Description
Riomaggiore, one of the five villages of the Cinque Terre National Park, is known for its historical charms and wine. Join me on this live-streamed, interactive Online Experience to enjoy the breathtaking views this region offers from the comfort of your own home!
We will start next to the famous "Via dell'Amore" (unfortunately still closed). Then we will walk uphill across the new part of the village to reach the parish church and the medieval part of Riomaggiore. At this juncture, I will point you towards the best panoramic view of the entire Cinque Terre Coast. As we walk down the promenade, you can see both promontories - the borders of the smallest National Park of Italy, Punta Montenero and Punta Mesco.
During our walk, I will regale you with fascinating stories from our history, legends, gossip and other interesting facts related to the village while focusing your gaze on the stonewall terraced vineyard, lemon and orange trees, and caper plants. If we are lucky, we can chat with a local wine producer or a tourist watcher (a term used to refer to an old lady looking outside the house windows).
The promenade ends near the marina, where you will be captivated by the beautiful view of the small port, fisherman boats, and vibrant fishermen's houses built one on top of the other.
