    • Kick-off in the busy city of Manzini, this cultural tour includes a quick visit to the Manzini market. The opportunity is taken here, first learn a few introductory words of Siswati as well as to grab a typical Swazi breakfast of Incwancwa (sour porridge).

    • Depart with some fresh vegetables and other supplies which will form part of the Swazi traditional lunch later on in the day.

    • Leave the hustle and the bustle of the town for the peaceful and scenic rural area of Lwandle. ELwandle is well off-the-beaten-track at the end of a windy one hour journey to the mountains. Opportunities are taken for regular stops at the scenic point.

    • Experience of the rural Swazi family life and culture. Understand Swazi customs and traditional beliefs, and learn how they continue to play a powerful role in modern times. The hosts are well-spoken and they are able to discuss both good and the bad. 

    • Stretch your legs and have the opportunity to visit the local neighbouring families to polish your Siswati language skills and see the real day-to-day life of these friendly Swazi people. This is not a cultural village set up for tourists but this is a real thing.

    • Be ready for the traditional spread that is prepared, which typically includes the roasted meat, barbeque, braai style together with maize meal porridge and vegetables. Vegetarians are well catered for.

    • Ease your remaining curiosity on any matters pertaining to the history and background of the Swazi nation.

    • Finally, head back with transport and drop off back to your place of accommodation.

  • Children under 5 yrs are free of charge for the Swazi cultural experience, provide that the child is accompanied by the adult.

  • Children from 7-11 yrs are charge 50% of the adult rate provided that they come with a full paying adult. 

  • Children 12 yrs and above the pay full price.
