    • Start the tour by visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial; the final resting place for more than 250,000 victims of the genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.

    • Head to the Presidential Palace Museum. The Presidential Palace Museum is one of the new museums in Kigali, giving visitors a chance to visit the former statehouse as well as gain an overview of Rwanda’s history. 

    • Visit Richard Kandt House, which houses some interesting information on Rwanda’s flora, fauna geology, and biological history.

    • See Camp Kigali Memorial. 

    • Have lunch at your hotel or any recommended restaurant. 

    • See other important places in the city and visit local markets (either Kimironko or Nyamirambo) with the Rwandan tour guide.

    • Return to your hotel.

  • Day 2: Mount Kigali Hiking expand_more

    • Go to the top of Mt. Kigali for views of the city and the countryside. Indulge in different activities, including horse riding, trail rides and zip lining.

    • Visit the Nyamirambo Women Centre and do some shopping. You may alternatively choose another store of your preference.
