  • Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu expand_more

The members of the expedition arrive at Tribhuvan airport. Half an hour before landing, from the plane's windows, you can see the velvet-green hilly hollow of the Kathmandu Valley, which is surrounded by sparkling glaciers of the Himalayan mountain ranges from the north. The time difference between Moscow and Kathmandu is + 2 hours 45 minutes. The first thing you will often hear during your stay in Nepal is the traditional greeting “Namaste”, which literally means “In your person I greet God.” You can get a Nepali visa right at the airport. In the evening, dinner at the restaurant of national Nepali cuisine.

  • Day 2: Flight to Lukla (2860 m) and hike to Phakding (2610 m). expand_more

On the second day, the group takes off from Kathmandu to Lukla on a small plane. The flight takes about 45 minutes. The track starts from Lukla already. The path passes through Sherpa farms and villages along the trail, leads to the Dudkoshi River, and then down to Pakding. Along the way, you will meet the Tadokola River, from its shore, you can admire the magnificent view of Kusum Kangaru. Then the river is crossed by a suspension bridge, and after a short climb, the group goes to the village of Ghat. Another hour and a half walk and the group arrives at the village of Packing, where they stop for the night.

  • Day 3: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440 m) expand_more

The group goes on the road in the morning. After crossing the suspension bridge over the Dudkosi River, there is a road with small ascents and descents, and from the village of Benkar, there is an amazing view of the Tamserku Mountains (6608 m). Then, the road goes over several bridges and leads to Monjo, a settlement where the central entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park is located. The group enters the national park, descends and approaches the suspension bridge over the Bhotekoshi River. The village of Jorsal begins behind the bridge – this is the last settlement before Namche Bazaar. Then, the road leads over the bridge of the Imjatse River, from where a winding path leads to Namche Bazaar. It offers an amazing view of Mount Everest, the peaks of Kwangde and Lhotse, and a near view of the peak of Tavache. Finally, the group reaches the Namche Bazaar village, called the “village of coloured houses”. It is the main gateway of the Khumbu region. Here, the group stops for the night.

  • Day 4: Rest Day in Namche Bazaar (3400 m). expand_more

On this day, group members can visit the Everest View Hotel, where you can admire the panorama. You can also visit the local shops and market, which is especially lively on Saturdays, or the Sherpa Museum. This is a great place to explore the history of mountaineering and Sherpa culture.

  • Day 5: Tengboche expand_more

Descent to the river, long ascent to the famous high mountain monastery of Tengboche (4 hours, 3860 m). Overnight in the cabin.

  • Day 6: Trek in Ferich (4240m) expand_more

The trail passes over precipices on suspension bridges over streams “boiling” among huge white boulders.

  • Day 7: Feriche - Lobuche (4940m) expand_more

Ascent to the plateau, along which with a slight rise, we will approach the moraine of the Khumbu glacier. There is a famous memorial at an altitude of 4808 meters between the villages of Dugla and Lobuche. It is located at the highest point of the pass and includes several dozen commemorative plaques and chortenas (small stone monuments) in memory of all the dead climbers, Sherpas and porters. We will hear stories from the life of Scott Fisher, Babu Chiri Sherpa and others, and also, according to tradition, we will hang flags and honour the memory of those who were taken by the mountains.

  • Day 8: Trekking from Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5164m) expand_more

From Lobuche, the group makes a two-hour trek along a winding rocky path to Gorakshep, where there is a beautiful view of the Kala Patara, Pumori, Nuptse Mountains and the Gorak Shep Valley. Then, the group stays in a hotel, takes a tea break, and visits the Everest base camp (5364m). Return to Gorak Shep (5164 m) overnight in the cabin.

  • Day 9: Climbing to the top of Kala Patthar (5645 m) expand_more

The ascent is quite difficult due to the thinness of the air. In the “hot” season, this road is quite crowded and busy. Many people visit Nepal just to see Mount Everest and the Khumbu Glacier. It offers a great view of Mount Pumori. The ascent to the top of Kala Patara from Gorak Shep takes about two to two and a half hours. Then, the group goes to spend the night in Jonglu. Rest.

  • Day 10: Cho La Pass expand_more

Today's route leads us up through the Cho La pass, from which an incredible panoramic view opens at an altitude of 5420 m! The climb is steep, and the trail can be loose with large boulders along the way. This is probably the most difficult part of the whole route. After overcoming the pass, we descend to Gokyo (4750m). It is the world’s highest system of freshwater lakes and grounds for migratory birds. In autumn, lakes with emerald water are surrounded by green shores but already framed by bright red shrubs.

  • Day 11: Gokyo-Ri Peak expand_more

Today, we will climb Gokio-Ri Peak (5,357 m), from where we will have a view of four of the fourteen main peaks of the world, with a height of more than 8,000 meters, as well as the Ngozumpa glacier, the longest glacier in Nepal. Then we will go to the village of Dole, where we spend the night. The track leads us along the contour paths of a steep, boulder-strewn valley.

  • Day 12: Namche (3440 m) expand_more

Our hike to Namche (3440 m) takes us along a very beautiful part of the route of the Everest base camp, and along the way, we pass through several picturesque mountain villages. The road back does not involve ascents, so it will be quite easily hidden.

  • Day 13: Transfer to Lukla expand_more

We will already go along a familiar route, the same as on the 2nd and 3rd day. Having strengthened our muscles during so many days of trekking, as well as descending into more oxygen-rich air, we will feel the strength of Olympic champions. We are spending the night in Lukla (2860 m), preparing for tomorrow’s flight to Kathmandu.

  • Day 14: Kathmandu expand_more

We return to Kathmandu, where the already familiar hotel greets us with hot baths and plush towels. Over dinner, we will relive the adventures of the last two weeks in the evening. Those who still have energy can explore Tamel a little, maybe take a ride around the area on a tuk-tuk and buy souvenirs for their relatives.
