Description

Drive to Bratocea pass near Cheia village. Walk through the quiet forest and then head out in a beautiful meadow. Hike in Ciucas Mountains and see lovely trails and amazing viewpoints around the bizarre rocks in all shapes and sizes. Visit the tower of Goliath. Climb to Ciucas Peak, the highest point for the day and the highest in the massif-1954 m. Continue to the Bratocea Pass.

    • Today, we’re setting a course to one of the most beautiful and photogenic parts of Ciucas: the Bratocea area. 

    • We start in the morning and drive to Bratocea pass, near Cheia village. 
    • Then, the route will take us for a leisurely walk through the quiet forest and into a beautiful meadow. A meadow is a lovely place for a quick stop and photos. 
    • Moving further, the mountain starts to reveal its surprises, one by one: lovely trails, incredible viewpoints all around, bizarre rocks in all shapes and sizes, and the tower of Goliath. 
    • Did we mention that the area of Bratocea is one of those places perfect for panoramic photos? Don’t miss that! The landscape offers excellent perspectives towards Bucegi Mountains, Piatra Mare and Brasov.
    • Slowly but surely, we’re getting closer to Ciucas Peak, the highest point for the day and the highest in the massif: 1954 m. The view from up there is.... breathtaking! On our way down from the peak, we’ll make a few stops and look for the best places for photos. The mountain could be full of surprises.
    • We will call it a day in the Bratocea Pass and then head out for a good and rewarding meal.
