    • Start the tour by heading towards Baixa, the downtown area of the city. Crossing Baixa, we will get a feel of the architectural features of the city.
    • Then, drive through Chiado which became the trendy part of the city in the 19th century. It was where the French-style shops could be found. We will also be in front of some of its historic and famous shops, such as Bertrand and Brasileira.
    • And of course, Bairro Alto is well known for its bohemian lifestyle, for it was where journalists could be seen at night for some of the most important newspapers were seeded here, since the 18th century. Nowadays, it is where one of the city’s nightlife spots not to be missed.
    • Next, move to Praça do Comércio, the entrance gate into the city and a square full of symbols of history to discover.
    • Drive through the Sé historical church, the oldest church of Lisbon that began its construction in the second half of the twelfth century, after the conquest of the city from the Moors by D. Afonso Henriques. Then the construction of the cathedral was apparently done in the place of the old mosque in Lisbon.
    • Afterwards, proceed towards the castle of São Jorge, located in the old medieval citadel, that was inhabited by the Moors who fortified it for their defence. When D. Afonso Henriques (Portugal´s founding King), took the castle in 1147, after besieging it for 3 months, expelled the Muslims and opened the castle doors to Christianity.
    • Next, stop for a viewpoint at Portas do Sol.
    • Listen to your guide who will share with you the stories of its rise to fame in the 15th and 16th centuries as explorers set out on maritime conquests. This Golden Age of Portugal is reflected in the architecture and I will be here to answer any questions as we continue to explore.
    • Then, move towards the Jerónimos Monastery, where you can have a look at the extravagant Manueline architectural style that came to define this city. You'll also experience their wonders in the Belém area, with a stop at the Belém Tower and Monument to the Discoveries.
    • Along the panoramic road over Estoril, we will make a short stop in Cascais for you to admire this beautiful city and head to Guincho dunes and the natural park Sintra/Cascais, and Cabo da Roca, Europe's most western point.
    • Later, return quickly through IC19 while witnessing a view of the suburb to Lisbon City Center and reach your hotel for a drop-off.
