Description

Embark on an adventurous expedition to Rakaposhi, a mountain in the Karakoram mountain range in Pakistan. Trek up to the Rakaposhi Base Camp by passing through the trails of Minapin to witness the spectacular vistas of Diran Peak, Spantik/Golden Peak, Ultar Peak, Lady Finger and Mia Glacier. Drive through the Karakoram highway and admire the beauty of Passu Valley.

  • Day 1- Gilgit - Hunza expand_more
    • Pick up from Gilgit airport and drive to Hunza. (2hrs) Stopover at Old silk route and Rakaposhi viewpoint.
    • Arrive in Hunza, check-in and spend some free time.
    • Have lunch and hike to Baltit Fort and visit the Karimabad bazaar. 
    • Head to Duekar (Eagle’s Nest) for a sunset view and a better view of all the high mountains around Hunza valley.
    • Enjoy breathtaking views of Karakoram Mountains: Rakaposhi-7785m, Diran Peak-7200m, Spantik/Golden Peak-7027m, Ultar Peak-7344m Lady Finger-6000m, hopper glacier, Mia Glacier etc drive back to Minapin valley. (1 hour)

    FOOD: BREAKFAST+LUNCH+DINNER

  • Day 2- Minapin - Hapakun Camp expand_more
    • After breakfast, start trekking from Minapin to Hapakun camp (4-5hrs trek). If not tired, you can continue to the base camp directly which is 3 hour hike further.
    • Take a short break on the way for tea and snacks. Continue trek to Hapakun camp, arrive and spend some free time enjoying the views.

    Dinner & overnight camping.

  • Day 3- Rakaposhi Base Camp expand_more
    • Eat breakfast and continue the trek to Rakaposhi Base Camp. (3 hours) 
    • Arrive at the base camp, have some free time to enjoy the views around take a lunch break. 
    • Hike up to the viewpoint (1hour) and witness the views of Rakaposhi, Diran and other magnificent peaks, Minapin glacier and hike back to the campsite for dinner & overnight camping.

  • Day 4- Minapin - Karimabad Valley expand_more
    • Eat breakfast and hike back to Minapin.
    • Shift in the car and drive to Karimabad Valley for Dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 5- Attabad Lake - Passu Valley expand_more
    • After breakfast, drive to Attabad Lake via the Attabad tunnel and go for a boat ride in the lake.
    • Drive to Ghulkin Valley, explore the valley and meet locals.
    • Then, head to the Hussaini suspension bridge, explore the suspension bridge & move to Borith Lake. 
    • Hike up to Passu glacier (15hrs), explore Passu glacier & an amazing view of Karakoram mountains including Passu peak-7478m, Shispare Peak-7611m & more. 
    • Return to the car and drive to Pass Valley for dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 6- Khunjerab Pass - Passu Valley - Gilgit expand_more
    • After breakfast, drive to Khunjerab Pass-4700m via Sost valley (2.5 hours).
    • Enjoy the drive & the amazing high mountains of Karakoram on the way to the Pak-China border.
    • Explore the border and transfer back to Passu Valley (2,5 hours).
    • Take a stopover in the small villages of Gojal valley and go back to Gilgit for dinner & overnight stay.

    • Have your breakfast and transfer to the airport to board your return flight.

What's Excluded

  • Any kind of travel cost (Bus Jeeps), if anyone leaves trek at any stage due to any reason
  • Anything thing other than mentioned above in the “Cost Include” area is not included in cost
Know before you go
  • Minimum members to carry out a trip are 8-11. In case a trip is cancelled by us due to low registration the member who had paid will be entitled to a 100% refund or transfer amount to the next trip
  • Every member must keep his/her CNIC
  • Member should report 20 minutes before the departure time
  • Member must behave ethically with his/her fellow group member, or otherwise, we can cancel his/her trip at any time
  • We are not responsible for personal injuries and accidents
  • We are not responsible for the loss of any kind of personal belongings
  • No refund shall be made in case the member leaves the event in between due to any personal reason
  • No refund shall be made in case of natural disasters or any unforeseen circumstances beyond human control
  • If the places are closed due to any reason guide will take you to other place instead
  • A tracking kit is not included in any of our trips u have to get full tracking gear for yourself including torches power bank and other important stuff
  • No drugs or weapons are allowed
