    • Meet the tour guide, who will pick you up to begin the city tour of Manila, focusing the tour on Intramuros. We dedicate our glorious day to discovering the Spanish influence on Philippine history and culture.
    • Begin the beautiful tour by visiting Intramuros, home of the Spanish in the flourishing time of their discoveries and conquests. This inhabited centre is, in fact, one of the authentic colonial cities with a "European" imprint that survived in Asian countries, so we took the opportunity to walk through the alleys of this town inherited from our parents before it was ruined.
    • Start the patrol of the "walled city" from the San Agustin Church and then continue on the opposite side of the road to visit the Plaza San Luis Complex, "Barrio San Luis", which recalls in part the culture and Spanish architecture.
    • Then, we continue with our walk to discover Fort Santiago. Home to the Rajahs before the arrival of the Spanish, this settlement is the main fortress surrounded by solid moss-covered walls and overlooks the sea along the Pasig River. We can find two important buildings: the Dungeon and the Baluarte de Santa Barbara.
    • Head to the only green part of this city, Rizal Park, where we will have a short walk to explore this area. Before returning to the hotel, make a last stop at Paco Park to continue the story of Dr Jose Rizal, a Philippine National Hero.
    • On the way to the hotel, if time permits, we pass by the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP Complex) for a photo stop at the impressive Coconut Palace.
    • Back to the hotel and end of the tour.

  • Manila is the capital city of the Philippines, located at the western edge of Luzon, facing Manila Bay. In the XIII century, it was part of the Bruneian Empire, ruled by Muslim Rajahs and Sultans who made the city a fortified settlement and trading quarter. In the XVI century, Ferdinand Magellan, a Portuguese explorer, organized an expedition leading to the East Indies. In 1521 he discovered the Philippines. Manila, however, was declared a Spanish territory only fifty years after him when Miguel López de Legazpi established a city council known as Intramuros. This is the best historical part to be visited in Manila. Don't miss the chance to explore it.
