Description

Embark on a hiking venture to Quillcayhuanca & Cojup Valley, a perfect place to enjoy nature and see wild animals amidst the lovely mountain and beautiful glacier lakes. Mount Ranrapalka, Lake Tullpacocha, Mount Tullparaju and other majestic sites awaits you! 

Highlights
  • Hike upto Haupy Pass in Peru
  • Day 1- Huaraz (3100 m) – Quillcayhuanca gate at (3850m) – Cuchillacocha Lake Camp (4600 m) expand_more
    • Depart from Huaraz at 7:00 am to the east side on the dirt road until Quillcayhuanca gate.

    • Start walking up along the Quillcayhuanca Valley. Approach Lake Tullpacocha, enjoy a terrific mountain view with snowcapped peaks and lakes.

    • After 6 hours of walking up, reach the good camping spot at 4600 m. 

    Overnight camp at Cuchillacocha Lake.

  • Day 2- Cuchillacocha Lake Camp at (4600 m) – Huapy pass at (5000 m) – Palcacocha Lake camp (4560 m) expand_more
    • Trek towards Huapy Pass at 5000m and enjoy stunning views of a dozen peaks around such as Mount Ranrapalka at 6162 m, Mount Tullparaju at 5780 m, Mount Palcaraju at 6110, majestic Mount Huantzan at 6395 m etc. 

    • Descend until the campsite at Palcacocha Lake (4560 m).

    Last day camp at Palcacocha Lake.

  • Day 3- Palcacocha Lake (4560 m) – Cojup gate (3850 m) – Huaraz expand_more
    • Hike down along Cojup Valley. 

    • After 4 hours of walking down, go to the Cojup gate, where private transport will be waiting to drive back to Huaraz.

  • Our accommodation service has hot water, a private bathroom, a TV with cable connection, a restaurant, a cafe shop, which is located downtown.

  • Bus service from Lima – Huaraz – Lima with “Cruz del Sur or Movil tours” with Wi-Fi connection.
