Embark on a hiking excursion to this small peak of Yanapaccha. Be surrounded by snow-capped peaks of Huandoy, Pisco, Chopicalqui, Contrahierbas and many more. On the summit day, behold the majestic Cordillera Blanca range for stunning glacier lakes and valleys!

Day 1- Huaraz (3100 m) – Yungay town (2500 m) – Portachuelo de Llanganuco (4600 m) – Yanapaccha moraine camp at (4900 m) expand_more
Depart from Huaraz at 6:00 am and head toward the north side along Callejon de Huaylas valley until Yungay town. From this place, turn to the east and continue driving up towards Llanganuco valley passing on the way by beautiful couple glacier lakes until Portachuelo de Llanganuco km 42 at 4600 m.
Start walking for 3 hours with the porters' support. They are going to load the climbing gear and take it to the Moraine camp at 4900 m near Yanapacha lake.

Day 2- Yanapaccha moraine camp (4900 m) – Yanapaccha summit (5460 m) – Yanapaccha moraine camp (4600 m) expand_more
After breakfast at 2:00 am, start climbing up towards the Yanapaccha summit at 5460 m.
Reach the top of the summit and see more than 10 other summits, which are over 6 thousand meters high including giant mount Huascarán at 6768 m.
Come back to Moraine camping spot. Spend the last night camp at the base camp.

Day 3- Yanapaccha moraine camp (4600 m) – Huaraz expand_more
Pick up the climbing gear to walk down until Portachuelo de Llanganuco, where the private transport will be waiting to drive back to Huaraz.

Know before you go
Located on the north side of the highest Peruvian summit Huascarán, this is a small peak but with considerable difficulty to climb on the west wall, ideal for climbing courses. It offers a spectacular view from the summit. Huge snow-capped peaks surround it as Huandoy mountain, Pisco mountain, Chopicalqui mountain, Contrahierbas mountain, Taulliraju mountain, Chacraraju majestic Huascarán mountain.
Maximum altitude: 5460 m. (Yanapaccha summit).
Difficulty: Moderate – hard.
Duration: 3 days / 2 nights.
Preferred time: May – September.
Average temperature: Between 13° C – 23° C during the day/ at night -05°C to – 02°C
