    • Start early in the morning and transfer from the hotel. Drive from the city for about 1.30 hours to get to Ollantaytambo, where the train station is located.

    • Go on the train journey, which usually takes 2 hours to get to Aguas Calientes town.

    • Take the bus from Aguas Calientes for about 30 mins to reach Machu Picchu.

    • Arrive at Machu Picchu and show the ticket at the checkpoint and use the luggage room for your belongings. Head to explore Machu Picchu citadel. After the guided tour of about 2. 5 hours, you have free time to explore the citadel on your own leisurely.

      • Pick the option of just walking around or taking a hike for the gate of the sun, or you also can hike to Machu Picchu Inca bridge or relax. The worthy thing is to climb the Huayna Picchu (extreme uphill 45 minutes hike).

    • Take the bus to reach the train station at Aguas Calientes, and then back to Cusco.
