Description

Join for an exceptional trek of Vinicunca mountain, with plenty of unforgettable views, snowcapped mountains, local Andean people and herds of llamas and alpacas. Enjoy views of Vinicunca mountain, for its palette of colors located along the mountain range.

    • Leave Cusco for a 3 hour drive in our vehicle to the south-valley of Cusco, passing by the village of Pitumarca on the way. 

    • Stop for breakfast.

    • Continue to the start of the hike near the Pullawasi lookout point and trek for 2 hours to reach the highest point of the Vinicunca mountain.

    • Spend some time at the top, take memorial photos and recover some energy.

    • Descend down to the start of the hike, by the same trail, which will take at least an hour or so.

    • On the way, have lunch and return back by bus to Cusco.

       Level: medium to difficult

      Altitude: from 4300 m to 5100 m

      Climate: sunny, cold, windy and rainy (recommended season: April to October)

      Attraction: landscape, snow-capped mountains

      Hiking time: 4 hour walk

      Transport: 6 hours ( round trip)
