Day 1- Huaraz (3100 m) – Llaca base camp (4400 m) – Moraine camp site (4900 m) expand_more
Depart from Huaraz at 9:00 am. to the east of Huaraz until the Llaca base camp at 4400 m. [Walk time: 3 hours (climb up) / driving time: 2 hours]
Start climbing up. After 3 hours, reach the campsite at 4900m. Enjoy taking scenic photos of the beautiful sunset.
Overnight camp at Moraine.

Day 2- Vallunaraju moraine (4900 m) – Vallunaraju Summit (5686 m) – moraine – base camp – Huaraz expand_more
Have breakfast early at 2:00 am.
Start walking up on rock slabs until the glacier edge around 15 minutes and put on the climb gears and tools to start climbing up on the ice terrace to reach the summit at 5686 m. [Climbing time: 10 hours (ascent & descent) / driving time: 2 hours]
On the summit, enjoy gorgeous views and a spectacular sunrise, mountain views as the Cordillera Negra. See several impressive summits of over 6,000 meters around including Tocllaraju Mountain, Chopicalqui Mountain, Mount Huascaran, Mount Copa, Ocshapalca Mountain, Ranrapalca Mountain, Huantzan Mountain.
After spending enough time taking in the scenic pictures, descend on the same path up until Moraine camp and take a short time to break.
Follow down until Llaca base camp, where private transport awaits to drive back to Huaraz.

It’s one of the most preferred summits for acclimatization. Besides, it's ideal for developing mountaineering courses, as well as for visitors, and that has a short time visiting our region. Vallunaraju mountain is one of the nearest to Huaraz, part of Chinchey’s group into the Cordillera Blanca. Offer a breathtaking view from the summit including majestic Mount Huascaran.
Maximum altitude: 5686 m. (Vallunaraju summit).
Difficulty: Moderate.
Duration: 2 days / 1 night.
Preferred time: May – September.
Average temperature: Between 13° C – 23° C during the day/ at night -05°C to – 02°C.

Do an early book to get special discounts.
For booking validation, deposit 40% of the total price, and pay the rest 60% upon arrival in Peru or Huaraz.
