Day 1: Pick up at Chhukung and trek to Island Peak Base Camp expand_more
Meet the climbing guide at Chhukung who will take you to the Island Peak Base Camp (5,200 meters/17060 ft). It is a 4-hour walk to the camp from Chhukung which allows you to get acclimatized to the thin atmosphere.
Upon arrival at the camp, have lunch.
After lunch, you will undergo pre-climb training organized by the climbing guide. So, pay attention to every detail and piece of information conveyed to you.
Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Day 2: Acclimatization at Base Camp expand_more
If you feel you are ready, you may choose to begin climbing up to Island Peak. Else. You will spend a day at the camp to get acclimatized. Also, you will be taken for a short trek around base camp to prepare you for the 6,000-meter adventure the next morning.
Overnight stay at the tented camp.

Day 3: Summit Island Peak and back to Chhukung expand_more
Starts early in the morning as you begin climbing up to Island Peak. After Camp 1, you will cross a ridge amidst a glacier riddled with crevasses.
After a safe trip to the top of Island Peak, descend down to Chhukung. End of the trekking tour.
