Description

Explore the land of Chitwan, famous for its wide range of birds and animal species and enjoy an adventurous jeep or elephant safari. Witness the Nepali traditions and folk culture by visiting the Tharu Cultural Museum and village, and meet elephants at the Elephant Breeding Center. Experience bird watching on the banks of the Rapti river while enjoying a boat or canoe ride.

  • Day 1- Kathmandu -Chitwan expand_more
    • Meet your English-Speaking tour guide at 6:30 am and arrive at Sauraha Chitwan after 6 hours of a bus ride.
    • Have Tea & Lunch at 1:00 pm. Walk down a few steps from the hotel to 'Tharu Cultural Museum' at 3:30 pm. The museum visit will be followed by the Tharu village tour to see and experience the local people's traditions, culture, and lifestyle.
    • Enjoy the Tharu Cultural Dance at 6:30 pm, where locals from the nearby villages will show some of their traditional skills and dances inherited from their history.

    Have dinner at the hotel at 8:00 pm.

  • Day 2- Chitwan expand_more
    • Have breakfast at the hotel at 7:00 am and head to Canoe Ride or Boating. Enjoy the views of the aquatic birds, crocodiles, Gharials and many animals on the river banks. The 45 minutes canoeing will give you a lifetime experience of nature and the wild.
    • Visit the Elephant Breeding Center with your Nepal tour guide to witness this giant innocent animal.
    • After the afternoon meal at the hotel, leave for an elephant-back safari or jeep safari. Experience the spectacular views of the one-horned rhinoceros, several types of deer, monkeys, wild boar, bison, sloth bear, leopard and Royal Bengal tiger. The elephant safari lasts for 2 hours & the jeep safari can last for 4-5 hours.
    • Enjoy the elephant bathing programme at 2:00 pm. But, elephant bathing takes during summertime only, so the program is not included during the winter season.
    • Go for a sunset view or riverside walk to witness the magnificent view of the sunset in the evening with the beautiful backdrop of the Rapti river.
  • Day 3- Chitwan- Kathmandu expand_more
    • Have your morning meal and check-out from the hotel.
