Description

Go on a 17-day trek to the Gokyo summit via Chola Pass, and experience a fascinating and most scenic adventure destination around the high Khumbu of Everest Region in Nepal. Recognize the series of beautiful turquoise lakes in the Gokyo valley and the famous Cho La Pass. Visit the landmarks of the Khumbu region in the company of majestically soaring mountains, friendly Sherpas, colorful monasteries, the Namche Bazaar, the Sagarmatha National Park, and, of course, to the base of the mighty Everest.

  • Day 1 : Arrive in Kathmandu expand_more
    • Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
    • Prepare for trekking and overnight in Kathmandu.
  • Day 2 : Kathmandu to Lukla expand_more
    • Depart from Kathmandu to Lukla by flight which takes around 40 minutes.
    • Have breakfast in Lukla.
    • After breakfast, trek to Phakding (2610m)
  • Day 3 : Phakding to Namche Bazaar expand_more
    • Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m).
  • Day 4 : Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar expand_more
    • Spend the full day at Namche Bazaar which will help to get acclimatize to the climate.
    • Rest, chill, explore, and enjoy the view of the surrounding mountains.
  • Day 5 : Namche Bazaar to Tengboche expand_more
    • Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3868m).
  • Day 6 : Tengboche to Dingboche expand_more
    • Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4410m).
  • Day 7 : Acclimatization day at Dingboche. expand_more
    • Spend the day at Dingboche which will help to get acclimatize to the climate.
  • Day 8 : Dingboche to Lobuche expand_more
    • Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4910m).
  • Day 9 : Lobuche to Gorakshep expand_more
    • Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep (5180m).
    • Head to Everest Base Camp (5364m).

    Overnight in Gorakshep.

  • Day 10 : Hike to Kalapathar expand_more
    • Early morning, hike up to Kalapathar (5550m), to see the sunrise view and mountain range including Mt Everest. 
    • Return to Gorakshep and have breakfast.
    • Trek to Dzongla (4830m)
  • Day 11: Dzongla to Dragnag expand_more
    • Trek from Dzongla to Dragnag (4700m) via Chola Pass (5350m).
  • Day 12 : Thagna to Gokyao expand_more
    • Trek from Thagna to Gokyo (4790m).
  • Day 13 : Gokyao to Machhermo expand_more
    • Trek from Gokyao to Machhermo (4480m).
  • Day 14 : Machhermo to Namche Bazaar expand_more
    • Trek from Machhermo to Namche Bazaar (3440m).
  • Day 15 : Namche Bazaar to Lukla expand_more
    • Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2840m).
  • Day 16 : Fly to Kathmandu expand_more
    • Take the morning flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla.
  • Day 17 : Airport departure expand_more
    • Depart to the international airport or stay in Kathmandu for further sightseeing.
