Embark on an expedition to the sacred Lake of Mansarovar and peak of Dolma La Pass via the famous route of Kerong, Paryang, and Darchen. Drive through Khunmen Tso, Sinling, Karru Ongchen and Peiku Tso Lake to enjoy breathtaking views of Gaurishankar, Shishapangma, Kailash and Gurla Mandhata. Also, witness yak and sheep herds along the way and pay a holy visit to the historic Chiu Monastery.

Day 1- Kathmandu - Kerung Border expand_more
Depart from Kathmandu to the Tibet Border called Kerung.
After immigration formalities at the border, meet your Tibetan guide and driver.
After some briefing, drive to the Guest House for an overnight stay.

Day 2- Kerung expand_more
Acclimatize at Kerong before further driving.
In the afternoon, be free to look around the area.

Day 3- Kerung - Saga expand_more
Start the day with a long drive on the desert terrain. Drive past nomad camps and sheep and yak herds.
See Gaurishankar, Shishapangma and Langtang Himal from the pass.
Continue to drive through Khunmen Tso, Sinling, Karru Ongchen and Peiku Tso Lake (4400 m).
Then, cross the Brahmaputra river ( “Yarling Tsangpo” in Tibetan ) to finally reach Saga (4600 m).

Day 4- Saga - Paryang - Mansarovar expand_more
Watch the mountains from a distance and drive through the road.
Pass through the small town of Zhongba before reaching Paryang, which offers the first view of Mt Kailash.
Then, go to the historic Chiu Monastery on the North West shore of the lake.
From this vantage point, have a glimpse of Manasarovar, the highest freshwater lake with a turquoise complexion surrounded by Kailash, Mt. Gurula-Mandata and Lake Rakchyas.

Day 5- Darchen expand_more
After spending some peaceful hours at the shores of the sacred Lake Manasarovar with the snowy massif of Gurla Mandhata, drive 40 km to Darchen, which serves as the base for Mt Kailash kora.

Day 6- Dira-Puk expand_more
Walk along the beautiful rocky cliffs and waterfalls. The 15 km trail will take almost 7 hrs.

Day 7- Dira Puk - Zuthul Puk expand_more
Today, cross the Dolma La pass at 5670 m.
Once you reach the top, make the holiest offering and sit down for meditation.
By late afternoon, arrive at Zuthul Puk, where the great ascetic Milerappa is believed to have performed miracles.

Day 8- Saga expand_more
Head to Lake Manasarovar and further to Saga.

Day 9- Kerung expand_more
Drive back the same way to Kerung Border.
Overnight at Hotel.

Day 10- Kerung - Kathamndu expand_more
Drive Back to Kathamndu from the Kerung Border.
