Day 1: Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) 1350m, Kathmandu, Nepal expand_more
Pick-up by the airport representative and transfer to the hotel. If you arrive early in the day, you can do some sightseeing nearby your hotel.

Day 2: Fly to Lukla 2800m and trek to Phakding 2610m, 3 hrs expand_more
Pick up from the hotel in the early morning and drive about 20 minutes to Tribhuvan International Airport.
Take a 45 minutes exciting flight to Lukla.
Begin your trek to Phakding, approximately three hours of easy walking with your Everest tour guide.

Day 3: Trek to Namche Bazaar 3440m, 6 hrs expand_more
Begin trek normally flat following towards Dudhkoshi after crossing the bridge at Phakding. The trails still go flat, up and down, taking about 3 hours. You would have already seen Thamserku, Kusum Kangaroo and from just before Monjo Khumbi la above the Namche.
Reach Sagarmatha National Park; check your permits just 20 minutes before Jorsalle, the name of the spot lies at the end of the Monjo. From the Hillary Bridge, get a view of the Taboche peak across the Tyangboche and, after half an hour of climbing, the first view of the world's highest peak Mt Everest and more. You have to climb up the altitude about two and a half hours after overpassing the Hillary Bridge.

Day 4: Rest at Namche Bazaar, explore around expand_more
This day, hike to Thame Valley or Khumjung Khunde Valley via the world's highest airport Syangboche (3790m) and Hotel Everest View. There is a museum above Namche in the military campsite and Sherpa cultural museum, where you can watch a video project by paying their fees. This place also gives you the world's highest Mount Everest view.
Back to Namche for the 2nd night.

Day 5: Trek to Tengboche 3870m, 4 hrs expand_more
Leave Namche Bazaar, and after climbing a little up, it gradually becomes a flat trail to Kyangjuma. On the way, you can see wonderful mountain views, including the world's highest peak. Then, the path leads you down to Dudhkoshi, and immediately the trail ascends to Tyangboche.
Visit a monastery known as Tengboche Monastery. Then, you will be taken to observe the prayer ceremony, either in the evening or morning.

Day 6: Trek to Dingboche 4350m, 4 hrs expand_more
The trail takes you gradually down through a forest of Rhododendron and dwarf conifers to the Imjatse River by crossing the bridge and ascending to Pangboche 3860m. You are heading towards the beautiful mountain called Ama Dablam. There is a monastery in upper Pangboche which is the oldest monastery (since 17 centuries) in Khumbu Valley. Bypass the Shomare 4020m and Orsho from where you can see another Mount Pumori 7165m. Afterwards, a junction trail upper left takes you to Pheriche and heading to the right lower one for Dingboche.

Day 7: Acclimatization day expand_more
Today, enjoy another day for acclimatization around Dingboche by day hiking. On this day, you will have a trip to Chhukung Valley. Go to Chhukung Ri (5546 meters) too. You can see the fifth highest mountain, Makalu, 8463m. Some trekkers climb Nagarjun Hill above Dingboche for acclimatization.
Come back to Dingboche in the evening.

Day 8: Trek to Lobuche 4930m 4 hrs expand_more
Walk slowly; make sure you have enough drinking water because you are already at a high altitude and going on a trip to the foot of the world's highest peak or Everest base camp. There is a place where you may have some hot tea, coffee or god at Dhugla, known as Thukla 4620m. After about 40 minutes to an hour of steeply ascending, you will see at the top of the ridge memories of the ones who lost during peaks or mountain climbing. There is a superb view of mount Pumori on the way to Lobuche in front of you, and to the east is smiling Mount Nuptse 7861m.

Day 9: Trek to Gorakshep 5160m – Everest Base Camp 5340m – back to Gorakshep expand_more
The path follows Khumbu Glacier towards Gorakshep and base camp. It is suggested to take with you enough drinking water and some snicker since you are mostly getting closer to Everest Base Camp today.
Take lunch and rest for a couple of hours.
Continue to the bottom of the world's tallest Mount Everest Base Camp with enough drinking water and snicker again. You cannot see Mount Everest from the Base Camp; walk with well-worn equipment against wind and cold.
Back to Gorakshep for a night.

Day 10: Early morning climb to Kala Pathar and back down to Pheriche expand_more
Early morning, hike uphill to Kala Pathar 5545m, which provides an excellent viewpoint to observe Mount Everest and innumerable spectacular mountain views & Khumbu Glacier.
Trek back to Pheriche 4280m.

Trek back to Namche Bazaar.

Day 12: Lukla expand_more
Proceed to trek back to Lukla via the same trail.

Fly back to Kathmandu.

Day 14: Kathmandu spare day for the trip (city sightseeing) expand_more
This day is kept for the Kathmandu city tour after the trek because the flight to Lukla - Kathmandu gets problems due to bad weather. You can do sightseeing on the second day of the trip instead of taking a flight to Lukla.
This one day is for the Kathmandu sightseeing of Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Kathmandu Darbar Square and Swayambhunath.

Know before you go
Airlines have announced that Lukla flight will be from Manthali Airport due to traffic in Kathmandu Airport. So, you need to start driving an early, it takes about 4 hours from Kathmandu then fly to Lukla.
