Visit the Swayambhunath, an ancient religious complex atop a hill in the Kathmandu Valley, west of Kathmandu city. The Tibetan name for the site means 'Sublime Trees', for the many varieties of trees found on the hill. Patan Durbar Square, the centre of the city of Lalitpur in Nepal. One of its attractions is the ancient royal palace where the Malla Kings of Lalitpur resided. Pashupatinath is a famous and sacred Hindu temple complex located on the banks of the Bagmati River.
