  • Day 1: Arrive in Windhoek expand_more
    • Meet with the tour guide at the Hosea Kutako International Airport. 
    • Drive to Arebusch Travel Lodge for dinner and overnight stay. 
  • Day 2: Windhoek- Etosha National Park expand_more
    • Have breakfast and leave at 08h.00 for Namutoni Camp in Etosha. 
    • Halt at Okonjima Reserve to spot a few animals on the way. 
    • Have lunhc in Otjiwarongo. 
    • Arrive in Namutoni and check-in at the camp. 
    • Go for a quick drive to spot lions and elephants.
    • Head back to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
  • Day 3: Namutoni- Okaukeujo expand_more
    • Wake up early in the morning, enjoy coffee and a light breakfast.
    • Travel to Okaukeujo at around 07h.00. 
    • Visit various water points on the way to Halali Camp.
    • Try spotting 4 of the Big Five animals, lions, leopards, rhinos and elephants.
    • Arrive at Halali for lunch and contunie to Okaukeujo. 
    • Head to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
  • Day 4: Okaukeujo- Kamanjab via Outjo expand_more
    • Have breakfast, then hit the road.  
    • Halt at Outjo to stock up provisions and then proceed to Oppikoppi lodge. 
    • Arrive at Kamanjab and check-in at the camp for dinner and overnight stay. 
    • Discuss all the places to be covered in Kaokoland, the most remote part of Namibia. It is known for its scenic and cultural attractions. It is also the home of the Ovahimba people, one of the oldest living races known. On the northern side is Angola, which is separated by the Kunene River.
  • Day 5: Kamanjab- Sesfontein expand_more
    • Have breakfast and head to Sesfontein. 
    • Visit Warm Quelle, a warm water spring with a small waterfall and pool and take a quick dip in the water. 
    • Have a packed lunch and continue with the journey.
    • Arrive at Opuwa and spend the night in an Ovahimba village.
  • Day 6: Sesfontein- Kaokolan expand_more
    • Have breakfast, then travel to the Etoto Crater. 
    • Check out the unique Siamese twin Boabab tree on the way. 
    • Travel to the Damaran Sea sedimentary rock slab, which was initially thought to be glacier marks. 
    • Head to the Etoto cave. The Etoto village derived its name from this cave. It is also the first place that the Himbas settled in Namibia.
    • Drive to Ruacana, the last village, before entering the remoteness of Kaokoland.
    • Arrive at the Eja lodge in Kaokoland for dinner and overnight stay.
  • Day 7: Kaokolan- Epupa Falls expand_more
    • Have breakfast, then head to Ruacana falls. 
    • Drive along the Kunene River, which is a border between Namibia and Angola.
    • Halt at the Ondorusso falls and check out its interesting rock formations formed due to water erosion over millions of years. 
    • Head to a camp near Epupa Falls for dinner and an overnight stay.
  • Day 8: Epupa Falls- Marble Camp expand_more
    • Wake up early in the morning and hit the road.
    • Enjoy the scenery while moving at a snails pass, on riverbeds, through valleys and over mountains. 
    • Arrive at Marble Camp for dinner and overnight stay. 
  • Day 9: Marble Camp- Marienflus- Etanga expand_more
    • Have breakfast, then head to Marienfluss and explore the area. 
    • Travel back to Etanga and then into the Hoareseb river.
    • Set up camps, have dinner and spend the night there.
  • Day 10: Etanga- Purros expand_more
    • Have breakfast, then follow the riverbed to Puros. 
    • Spot leopards, lions and elephants on the way. 
    • Arrive at a lodge in Purros for dinner and overnight stay.
  • Day 11: Purros- Damaraland expand_more
    • Head to Damaraland and visit the Twyfelfontein World Heritage site, home to over 60,000 bushman paintings and carvings. 
    • Check out the site of the dinosaur tracks and the burnt mountain. 
    • Travel to a lodge/ camp in Damaraland for dinner and an overnight stay.
  • Day 12: Damaraland expand_more
    • Have breakfast and go sightseeing in Damaraland and spend the rest of the day at leisure. 
    • Travel to White Lady Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
  • Day 13: Damaraland- Swakopmund expand_more
    • Have breakfast, then travel to Swakopmund.
    • Arrive at Swakopmund for dinner and overnight stay.
  • Day 14: Swakopmund expand_more
    • Spend the day at leisure in Swakopmund. 
  • Day 15: Swakopmund- Windhoek expand_more
    • Travel back to Windhoek and depart for your destination.

As we go through remote areas and wildlife areas, it is important to know the following:

  • Poisonous snakes, like black mamba, puff adder and zebra snakes are around.
  • All scorpions are poisonous. 
  • Treat all spiders as poisonous unless the guide tells you otherwise.
  • Most small carnivores can carry Rabies. Dont touch them.
