After pickup from the Malaysia Tourism Center (MATIC) or your centrally located hotel in Kuala Lumpur, travel by air-conditioned minivan to the first stop on your half-day tour: Known as Istana Negara, this residence of the King of Malaysia doesn't allow visitor access inside the building, but you can take photos of the exterior along with the changing of the guards, which occurs hourly.

The River of Life is one of the most iconic parts of Kuala Lumpur. The Klang River, known as Sungai Klang by the locals, streams through the regions of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor and eventually into the straits of Malacca. The Gombak River is another major river in the Klang Valley. What began as an expensive urban river restoration project has paid off, as the River of Life has been listed as one of the world's top 10 most beautiful waterfronts!

Lively, colourful Chinatown is centred on Petaling Street, known for its fashion shops and a large covered market with produce, clothes and accessories. Local artists sell paintings and crafts at the nearby Central Market, where stalls dish noodles and curry.

Located in Brickfields, one of the busiest temples in the area, Arulmigu Sree Veera Hanuman Temple is listed as one of the favourite places of worship, especially for Hanuman devotees around the region. Previously, this temple was near a river bank which currently situates the Tun Sambathan monorail station. This temple is said to have many mystical stories, including witnesses of human-sized glowing figures around the temple compound by a lorry driver in the middle of the night and other mystical appearances witnessed by a few late-night passersby. Many devotees affected by black magic or evil spirits come to this temple for spiritual recovery. Many devotees will visit the temple, especially on Thursdays and Saturdays and a massive turnout on Hanuman Jayanthi.
