Description

In this fantastic three-day tour by Michoacan state, you have the opportunity to see monuments from Spanish Colonial times; it will make you travel through time to the 16th century in the historical magical towns of Patzcuaro, Tzintzuntzan, Capula, Santa Clara del Cobre, Tlalpujahua, Angangueo and the majestic city of Morelia, declared UNESCO World Cultural Heritage: art, traditions, culture and natural beauty.

    • Depart from your hotel at 6 am or 7 am.

    • Come to Patzcuaro, eat breakfast & do a walking tour of the town:

      • Plaza Vasco de Quiroga and Plaza Gertrudis Bocanegra

      • Church of our Lady of Health and the Sagrario 

      • Casa de Los 11 patios (crafts of the region) 

    • Reach Tzintzuntzan and visit Ex Convent of Santa Ana, Yakatas and Craft Market

    • Go to Capula, see the Museum of the Catrinas, walk around town and visit a workshop.

    • Arrive in Morelia, finish hotel check-in, attend a briefing of Morelia and enjoy a free afternoon.

  • Day 2: Angangueo, El Rosario, Tlalpujahua & Morelia expand_more

    • Eat an early breakfast.

    • Drive to Angangueo, an old mining town, where we will take the cobblestone road to El Rosario Sanctuary, where we can ride a horse or walk to see the butterflies.

    • Come to Tlalpujahua (Christmas Ornaments Town), break for lunch and do shopping (optional). 

    • Return to Morelia, and the rest of the afternoon is free.

  • Day 3: Zihuatanejo, Santa Clara del Cobre & Zihuatanejo expand_more

    • Embark on a walking tour of Morelia:

      • Cathedral of Morelia, Plaza de Armas

      • Traditional Candy Market, Library, and Palacio Clavijero

      • San Nicolás de Hidalgo School 

      • Plaza San Francisco

      • Jardín de las Rosas and Conservatorio de las Rosas

      • Templo de Juan Diego

      • Aqueduct

    • Come to Santa Clara del Cobre, walk in the town, visit a workshop and the town's church, enjoy shopping (optional), and taste some Carnitas Tacos before departing. 

    • Return to Zihuatanejo.
