Description

Embark on a serene journey in a boat to see people who are growing vegetables on the mountainside and Samkar Lake. Visit the Shan family house at Naung Bo Potter village, pay respect to Samkar Buddha, learn how local rice wine is produced, and admire the stunning landscape.

    • Pick up at your hotel at 8.00 am in Inle Lake or Nyaung Shwe by your Myanmar tour guide.

    • Go on a boat trip to Samkar for 2.30 hours.

    • Cross Samkar Lake to see the old Samkar town. 

    • Visit the beautiful monastery, walk in the villages to see the local life, and pay homage to Samkar Buddha (made of frangipani wood). Some stupas are in the water when the water level rises after the rainy season. 

    • Continue to another village, where you can learn the detailed process of how to produce the local rice wine and taste 40% alcohol.

    • Walk more villages to see pigs, chickens, and on local farms until Thar Kone (236 stupas). 

    • Enjoy the view of Samkar Lake. 

    • Meet the Shan family house, where they make the pot for local use, known as Naung Bo Pottery village. 

    • Take the long trip back (2.30 hours). You can enjoy the beautiful scenery and the way of life of people (washing, swimming) in the canal with their family.

    • Head back to the hotel.
