Day 1: Marrakech - Imioughlad - Tinzert expand_more
- Travel from Marrakech to Imlil, a small village situated 1,450m at the base of Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa.
- Meet our muleteer team, and begin our journey.
- Spend the night in a traditional Berber village of Tinzert and explore Berberian life.

Approximately 4-5 hours walking, 2 hours driving.
Elevation: 1450m.

Day 2: Tinzert - Tizioussem expand_more
- Travel through the Ouirgane Valley and Azzadene Valley.
- Enjoy the diversity of these valley’s, from the forests of large oak trees, red earth, walnut groves, and date Palmaris and a valley that is lush all year long.

Elevation: 2200m.

Day 3: Tizi Oussem - TiziN’Mzik - Aremd expand_more
- Ascend from the Azzaden Valley, and view the valley in all its splendour.
- Tonight will be spent in the traditional Berber village of Aremd.

Day 4: Aremd – Ait Benhaddou – Dades Gorge expand_more
- Explore the UNESCO world heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, Ouarzazate, the gateway to the Sahara Desert, and the Valley of Roses.
Overnight in the Dades Gorge.

Approximately 6-7 hours journey.

Day 5: Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Erg Chehbi expand_more
Travel on the way to Rondevu with our camel team via the Todra Gorge, and explore the dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga.
Reach the campsite and admire the sunset behind the mysterious sandhills of the Sahara Desert.
Approximately 6-7 hours journey.

Day 6: Merzouga - Marrakech expand_more
- Wake up early to explore the areas further and head back to Merzouga on the Camels.
- Reach Merzouga, have breakfast & shower.
- Begin the journey through the stony desert and over the Atlas mountains, with plenty of stops for photos and lunch as we return to Marrakech. The usual arrival time in Marrakech is between 17:00hrs and 18:00hrs.
We suggest spending the night in the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou.

Know before you go
This trek runs all year-round and can depart at any date of your preference. We usually have several treks departing each week that you may join if you wish.
This trek is available to be booked independently (including transfers from Marrakech) or we can put together a full itinerary and quote to combine your trek with any of Marrakech, Essaouira, The Atlantic Coast and the Sahara Desert.
