• After an early breakfast at the hotel in Marrakech, at 9 AM, our driver will pick you up and take you to the heart of Morocco’s High Atlas Mountains. 
• Start the journey from Imlil (1740m), a small Berber village located at 1740m above sea level, at 67km on the southwest of Marrakech. Meet the team who will accompany you during this amazing adventure. The driver will drop you off in the village. The muleteers will deal with your luggage, food, and other equipment we usually provide to our clients. Within half an hour, you start the walk with an experienced mountain guide through the Berber villages, following a mule track to the mountain hut via the shrine Sidi Chamhrouch (2500m). Savour the picnic lunch prepared in advance by our cook. 
• Continue towards the refuge (3200m). As the mules walk faster, the muleteers & cook will go ahead and wait for you at the hut or camp. Get a tasty mint tea upon arrival. Hot showers are available here.

Optional: The night can be spent in a tent in the summertime

• Wake up early to avoid the sun. Have breakfast around 5.00 AM and start the ascent climb at 5.30 AM. Each one of you may need to pack your own lunch. 
• Reach the point above the hut where you have a short break with nuts, water & oranges etc. 
• After 3h/4h walking up the hill, admire the view of the High Atlas Mountains. 
• Take a break of 45 min on the summit to take pictures & enjoy the views before heading down to the hut. Lunch will be ready for you there. 
• After lunch, walk downhill towards Imlil.

Overnight in a guesthouse in Berber village.

• Depart from imlil at 8 AM in a modern, air conditioned transportation. Travel through the Atlas mountains, enjoying the magnificent views of the surrounding countryside below. 
• Visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. This journey takes approx 3h. 
• After a break, continue to Ouarzazate (approx 1 hour or so) for lunch break & sightseeing. 
• Drive along the Dades Valley route to reach the guesthouse for the night. The guesthouse offers private ensuite rooms. 

An evening meal and breakfast are included.

• Continue along the Dades valley, visiting Dades Gorge, Todra, Todra Gorge and other interesting sites. 
• Make your way to Merzouga. At Merzouga, explore the village and meet the camels who will take you into the dunes to reach the desert camp at Erg Chebbi. Each person rides their own camel. The camel trek is usually just before sunset so that you may enjoy the sun setting over the landscape from the top of the dunes. 
• Arrive at the desert camp. Enjoy a welcoming cup of delicious hot minty tea. Spend the evening under the stars, on the dunes, and beside the warmth of the fireside. Savour a locally cooked meal of Tagine or couscous (vegetarians cater to vegetable tagine). Enjoy a drum party.

The camp has toilet facilities. If you wish, you can sleep directly under the stars, but there are Bivouacs for everyone. This is a great opportunity to see stars as there are no artificial lights.

• Wake up early, just before sunrise, and set off on a 1 hour 30 min camel ride at sunrise. 
• Head back to Merzouga on the camels. 
• Upon reaching Merzouga, savour breakfast & take a quick shower if you want. 
• Begin the journey back to Marrakech through the stony desert and over the Atlas Mountains, with plenty of stops for photos, exploring, and lunch. The usual arrival time in Marrakech is between 5-6 PM.
