Description

Sign up for this 3-day tour that starts from Marrakech to Dadès Gorges! We will travel across the Tizi-n-Tichka Atlas pass (2260m), with far-reaching mountain views. Then, we will continue to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou, a spectacular fortified village. Continue to Dadès Gorges. Then, head to the Merzouga Sahara Desert, passing Berber villages, Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud. Wrap up your tour as you witness the sunrise over Erg Chebbi and embark on the journey back to Ouarzazate.

  • Day 1: Marrakesh - Dadès Gorges expand_more
    • Our journey starts in Marrakech and goes to Dadès Gorges. We travel across the Tizi-n-Tichka Atlas pass (2260m), with far-reaching views across the mountains, to the traditional High Atlas Berber village of Telouet and take a guided tour of the Kasbah of El Glaoui, former War Lord and Pasha of Marrakech. 
    • We will continue to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou, a spectacular fortified village (ksour). 
    • We have lunch at Ait Benhaddou or Ouarzazate and continue to Dadès Gorges, where we will spend the night in a riad/hotel.
  • Day 2: Dadès Gorges - Merzouga - Erg Chebbi expand_more
    • After breakfast, we head to Merzouga from Dadès Gorges. Berber villages are scattered along the way. 
    • We will pass through Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud, where we’ll feel the beginning of the Saharan Oasis of Tafilalt and then continue to Merzouga. 
    • Dinner will be served in the hotel near Erg Chebbi, where we will spend the night and listen to Berber music.
  • Day 3: Erg Chebbi - Merzouga – Ouarzazate expand_more
    • After watching the sunrise, we went back to Merzouga. We will have an opportunity to shower and have a lovely breakfast. 
    • Then, we start our journey back to Ouarzazate. 
    • On our way, we will visit the Berber shops, where you may purchase souvenirs like fossils, carpets, lamps, and leather. 
    • We will arrive in Ouarzazate in the afternoon and stay in a hotel.
