Monuments to explore in Kaunas:

• Begin the tour with the mid-14th century Medieval Kaunas castle, built in the Gothic style.

• Townhall - the 16th century Town hall houses a Museum of Ceramics.

• Ninth Fort - the fort was used as a prison and also had a place of execution for Jews, captured Soviets, and others.

• Laisves Avenue - the prominent pedestrian street stretches between the St. Michael the Archangel's Byzantine-style church to the Central Post Office and Tadas Ivanauskas Zoological Museum around the Old Town. 

• Historical Presidential Palace - the Neo-baroque building in the Old Town of Kaunas, served as the Presidential Palace during the interwar years.

• Pazaislis Monastery (on request) - the largest monastery complex in Lithuania, stands as an example of Italian Baroque architecture in the country.
