  • Day 1- Arrival in Negombo expand_more
    • Connect with your tour representative at Negombo Airport, who will escort you to the vehicle and transfer you to Negombo. Negombo, situated by the shores of a lagoon by the same name, once has been a trading port for the Portuguese and Dutch and is ideal for those who want quick access to and from the airport. Attractions in the city are the old Dutch fort gate built in 1672, now a part of the prison, the Dutch Canal, which was then a supply route to the Dutch administration, old churches and fishing villages. The 100km long canal running through the town is still being used and is an attraction for those who want to see the country differently.
    • Check in to the hotel and relax your day after a long flight.

  • Day 2- Negombo - Pidurangala - Dambulla expand_more
    • Have breakfast at the hotel and proceed to Dambulla.
    • On your way, stop by Koskale, a famous place to enjoy some Hot ‘Rotti’, a local snack in Sri Lanka.
    • Visit Pidurangala in the evening to enjoy a beautiful Sunset. The rock next to Sigiriya is called Pidurangala. King Kasyapa built his King’s Palace on Sigiriya, but he worshipped Buddha on Pidurangala. The monastery dates back to the third century BC, but it was under Kasyapa that it became huge. It’s said the monastery was home to 500 monks and occupied an area of 14 acres during his reign.
    • Later proceed to Dambulla, check into the hotel, and relax.

  • Day 3- Dambulla - Polonnaruwa - Minneriya - Dambulla expand_more
    • Eat breakfast at the hotel, visit Polonnaruwa ancient city, and explore the unbelievable old buildings and their history.
    • Then, head to the Royal Kingdom of Polonnaruwa. It is the second kingdom in Sri Lanka & the largest city in north-central province, Polonnaruwa is famous for its ancient architectural sites, natural beauty & the large lake 'Parakrama Samudra' built-in 1200. UNESCO has declared this ancient city as one of the World Heritage sites in Sri Lanka. Royal kingdom of Polonnaruwa is one of the most important ancient archeological sites which has a range of surprising Architectural, agricultural, irrigation & religious (Buddhist & Hindu) sites to explore & discover, Here you can see the ruins of the Royal Palace, the Gal Viharaya where 4 splendid statues of the Buddha in 'Upright', 'Sedentary' and 'Recumbent' postures carved out of rock could be seen, the Audience Hall, the Lotus Bath, the statue of King Parakramabahu, and the Parakrama Samudraya - a lake built by King Parakramabahu the Great.
    • In the afternoon transfer to Minneriya and do Safari at Minneriya national park. The extent of the Minneriya National Park is about 8,889 hectares. There are wetlands in this National Park, which have international importance, animal and plant species, which are plenty in dry zone, are found in this park. Wild elephants, various amphibians, local and immigrant bird species are plenty in this park. About 160 species of birds, 09 amphibians, 25 reptile species, 26 fish species and more than 78 butterfly species have been found in this area. There are bamboo trees that are rare in other parks and wild elephants can be seen conveniently. The significant feature is that these elephants can be seen going closer to them.
    • Proceed back to the hotel at Dambulla & enjoy the evening. You can relax by the pool or enjoy some local cocktails at the hotel.

  • Day 4- Dambulla - Sigiriya - Kandy expand_more
    • After breakfast at the hotel, climb the Lion Rock in Sigiriya.
    • Visit Sigiriya rock fortress - This is called the “8th wonder of the world” among locals. It is a marvellous fortress complex dating back to 477 CE, situated 200 meters high from the ground. This giant rock fortress has water fountains, boulder gardens, frescos, mirror walls, relics of the castle and many more exciting monuments from the bottom to the top of the complex. This is the most visited tourist attraction in Sri Lanka, and UNESCO has declared this ancient city as one of the World Heritage sites in Sri Lanka.
    • Then, go to the world-famous rock fortress & enjoy the proud Sri Lankan heritage, this site will take you to another world.
    • Continue the journey to Kandy. In the afternoon, go on a city tour in Kandy to explore the magical city. Kandy is the hill capital of Sri Lanka, surrounded by sky kissing hills, green valleys, pure rivers, lakes and waterfalls. Kandy is also the cultural center of Sri Lanka and a UNESCO world heritage city. The most respected & celebrated Buddhist monument, the sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha, is placed at the Dalada Maligawa, the temple of the tooth, which is the most crucial attraction in Kandy. Buddhist devotees from all over the world visit this place all year round.
    • Explore the KCC shopping mall, the ancient lake in the middle of the city, Gem museums, souvenir shops and many more modern and ancient attractions in Kandy.
    • In the evening, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy. 
    • Later, witness the Cultural Show.

  • Day 5- Kandy - Ramboda - Nuwara Eliya expand_more
    • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and start your journey to Nuwara Eliya the city surrounded by tea plantations. Nuwara Eliya is also known as "Little England" due to its climatic conditions, vegetation, geographical and ecological setups.
    • See a few beautiful waterfalls, tea plantations and picturesque mountain ranges on your way up to Nuwaraleya. You may stop at a restaurant and enjoy a cup of hot Ceylon Tea.
    • Continue the journey to Nuwara Eliya, this is a famous place because of its invigorating mountain climate and scenery.   • Day 6- Nuwara Eliya - Colombo expand_more

    • On the way, pass by Kithulgala, famous for white water rafting. Kithulgala is also famous for the location used for filming the "Bridge on the River Kwai" International movie, which was filmed in 1957.  
    • Arrive in Colombo and do a brief city tour in the evening. The busiest place in Sri Lanka is Colombo, the country's commercial capital. Colombo is a beautiful city with modern high-rise buildings amidst old colonial ones making it a picturesque place. Galle Face Green in Colombo, is the favorite hangout spot for locals and tourists alike overlooking the beautiful Indian Ocean and surrounded by tall beautiful buildings. Colombo is also a shoppers' paradise with posh shopping malls and the famous Pettah market.

  • Visiting Religious places: When entering religious places your dress should cover minimum up to your knee levels & sleeveless tops are not allowed (you have an option to get a rap around cloth & cover yourself but chargeable)
  • Taking Photographs: In general Sri Lankans love having their picture taken, but it is common courtesy to ask for permission. Taking photographs of dams, airports, roadblocks or anything associated with security is forbidden. Do not pose beside or in front of a statue of the Buddha as this is considered extremely disrespectful.
  • Food & Hygiene: As a leading tourist destination, Sri Lanka holds one of the best hygienic records in Asia, where stomach complaints are not common. Nevertheless, it's good to comply with the following guidelines:
    • Most importantly use bottled water for drinking or rinsing your mouth. To avoid inferior quality water, it is recommended that the water bottles are purchased from supermarkets or recognized shops only.
    • Coconut water is renowned as a settler for a queasy stomach.
    • Using the fingers for eating is a norm in Sri Lanka and certainly not considered un-etiquette.
  • VISA: Visa to Sri Lanka can be easily obtained online by login into www.eta.gov.lk prior to arrival, we recommend an online visa as an arrival visa may take a longer time to process.
