Description

Take a scenic tour down the famous southern Sri Lankan coastline, enjoying its beaches along the way. Start at the small coastal town of Kosgoda for a refreshing boat safari in the Madu river and turtle watching. Go for whale watching at Mirissa and peek into Buddhism culture at the famous Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic at Kandy. Visit the fort at Galle and meet with elephants at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.

  • Day 1: Towards Kosgoda expand_more
    • Pick-up from the International airport, and transfer to your hotel in Kosgoda.

    • Go for a boat safari in Madu river, situated nearby. Turtle watching is a must in Kosgoda area.

    • Afterwards, relax on the serene beaches. 

    • For the night, your guide can arrange a special dinner.

  • Day 2: Mirissa to Galle expand_more

    • Early morning around 4:30 am, depart from the hotel for whale-watching.

    • On the way back, see the Galle fort and visit a few gem stores to see natural moonstones. 

    • Spend the evening at leisure. 

    • Stay the night at Kosgoda hotel.

  • Day 3: Kosgoda to Kandy expand_more

    • Head to Kandy. On the way, visit a tea factory.

    • After seeing the Peradeniya Botanical Garden at around 4:30 pm, watch the traditional Kandy dance and then visit the Kandy Tooth Temple.

    • Night stay at Kandy.

  • Day 4: Pinnawala to Airport expand_more

    • Depart from Kandy.

    • Visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.

    • Transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
