Devote 2 days to seeing the most important religious sites in Angkor: Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom temple complexes, Ta Phrom, and the floating village on Tonle Sap Lake. Visit Angkor, Cambodia’s northern Siem Reap Province with its temples, hydraulic structures (basins, dykes, reservoirs, canals) and communication routes, housing some of the most important archaeological sites in Southeast Asia!

    The tour begins with a visit to the Angor Thom temple complex in the morning. See the following attractions with your Siem Reap tour guide:

    • South Gate: the best-preserved part of the complex, it is a grand structure lined with carved faces and figurines.

    • Bayon: a Khmer Buddhist temple believed to have been built around the 12th or 13 th century. 

    • Baphuon: a three-tiered temple, supposed to have been built in the mid 11th century.

    • Royal Palace: built by king Suryavarman I and used continuously from the 11th to the late 16th century AD by the Khmer dynasty.

    • Phimeanakas: is a Hindu temple built at the end of the 10th century, during the reign of Rajendravarman and completed by Suryavarman I.

    •  Elephant's Terrace: this is the terrace believed to have been used by Jayavarman VII to see his returning, victorious army. 

    • Leper King's Terrace: the terrace of the king Dharmaraja. 

    After a break for lunch, we proceed to the Angor Wat Temple complex. We partake in the following activities here:

    • Angkor Wat: a Buddhist temple in Cambodia, this is the largest religious site in the world. 

    • Sunset on Bakheng Hill: a breathtaking sight as you bring your magical day to a close.

  • Day 2: Ta Prohm - Floating Village expand_more

    This day we set out to visit the following sites in the morning, after breakfast:

    • Ta Prohm: this is the modern name given to a 12th century Bayon temple. Originally, it was known as 'Rajavihara' or Monastery of the King. 

    • Banteay Srei: a 10th-century Cambodian temple made in honour of the Hindu God Shiva. 

    • Pre Rup: a Hindu temple built in the early 961 or 962.

    After lunch, proceed with the tour to the following sites:

    • Fine Art school (Artisans D’Angkor): set up with the view to revive the Cambodian traditional art scene. 
    • Floating Village (Tonle Sap Lake): floating eateries, homes, and a full-fledged market, this village is a popular tourist destination.
